Chile

The very peaceful courtyard at Universidad Catolica.

Entrance archway of colorful Bascilica de la Merced cathederal.

Fountain in extensive Santa Lucia Park.

Street art in the Bohemian District of Santiago.

Andes Mountains .....

..... where we did some hiking. Springtime in November in the Southern Hemisphere so much of the winter snow had melted.

Stairwell in the Mito Casa Boutique Hotel - where we stayed a few nights in Santiago.

Courtyard at the rear of the hotel - perfect for a late meal away from the city.

Their micro wine cellar from which we selected a smooth Carmenere.

Concha y Toro vineyards and winery - claimed to be the second largest winery in the world with 8000 hectares of vineyards.

Red wines are aged in French oak barrels in the extensive old barrel cellars.

Gran Reserva Carmenere - we tasted - we bought - we enjoyed !
